Day 1

Arrival & Journey Begins In Colombo

You arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport, where your driver warmly welcomes you. You will almost instantly feel the tropical warmth of this magical island as you make your way out of the airport. The first stop on your trip in the pearl of the Indian ocean is ... Welcome to the economic capital of Sri Lanka. Start the exploration of this vibrant city with the Dutch fort district and the museum of the Dutch period. Discover the district of Pettah, with its bazaar, its mosque, the district of City Hall and its old, colonial buildings. Walk around Beira Lake to discover the Gangaramaya Buddhist temple. Don’t miss the Good Market at Race Course, happening every Saturday. You will find vendors selling organic products and local handicraft. Exploring Colombo iss also an opportunity to go shopping in trendy shops, have lunch in one of the modern restaurants and meet your local agent. We recommend visiting Galle Face Green for a beautiful sunset and people watching. It’s a popular meeting place for families and lovers.

Day 2

Arrival to The Cultural Traingle

Visit the typical village of Hiriwadunna. Located near a man-made lake, you can enjoy a ride in a canoe or ox cart and discover this portion of the Sri Lankan countryside. The tour continues with a cooking demonstration by a local family followed by a traditional rice & curry meal to enjoy. Note: Please inform us in advance regarding any food allergies or dietary restrictions. Climb the hill of Pidurangala, right next to the "Lion Rock", and appreciate its archaeological interest. A stroll in nature, which allows you to enjoy a magnificent view, especially of the Sigiriya Rock, and the nearby Minneriya Park. At the top you will come across the ruins of a monastery, statues of Buddha, caves and more. A beautiful walk that has the advantage of still being uncrowded. Note: You should be in good physical condition for this cultural site, as there are many steps to climb.

Day 3

Visit Acient Kingdoms

Visit the famous “Lion’s Rock”. Sigiriya, a UNESCO World Heritage Site is Sri Lanka’s most popular cultural site. It will take about 2.5 hours to discover the gardens and caves, and climb up the 200-meter-high rock. Half-way up the rock, your guide will show you the painted caves of famous frescoes, believed to be King Kasyapa’s concubines. Once you reach the top, you’ll see the ancient palace ruins and enjoy an amazing view of the surroundings. Note: You should be in good physical condition for this cultural site, as there are many steps to climb. In the heart of the archaeological site of Polonnaruwa, meet your specialized guide for a cup of tea and a documentary movie at 2 PM and start a second session at 4 PM with trying to locate the purple faced langur troops or the larger troops of grey langurs. Around 5 PM there would be many birds for the bird lovers as well as a chance to see the deer grazing in the under brush in forest areas onlly the field guides venture. You have now the opportunity to watch a troop of toque macaques enjoying the last feed of the day, playing and grooming, and getting into their sleeping trees and huddle together for a good night's sleep.

Day 4

On The Way to Dense Wilderness

Visit the Dambulla Cave Rock Temple. This Buddhist temple is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, located on top of a rock, and consists out of five caves. All are filled with Buddha statues and have beautiful wall paintings. The view over the surrounding environment is breathtaking! Note: You should be in good physical condition for this cultural site, as there are many steps to climb. Day 5

Knuckles Mountain Range

A stunning trek in the Knuckles Range, traversing tea plantations and forests to reach the highest point. This challenging hike showcases diverse flora and fauna unique to the area, rewarding your efforts with breathtaking views. Starting around 7 a. m. from camp, venture through the village, tea plantations, and the Knuckles Conservation Forest. Spot the endemic leaf nose lizard and admire nature's beauty en route to the summit. Pause for lunch and panoramic vistas before descending. Feeling adventurous? Take a detour to explore the waterfall trek route. A must-do journey for nature enthusiasts seeking unparalleled beauty and tranquility.

Day 6

Imense Village Experience

A tranquil journey down a comfortable trail leading to the untainted village of "Heel Oya" at Knuckles' foothills, untouched by mass tourism. Wander through tea estates, pine forests, terraced paddy fields, and misty hills, immersing yourself in inspiring viewpoints. Embrace nature's poetry as you revel in the beauty around you. Take a refreshing dip in a cooling waterhole en route to the village. Immerse yourself in the authentic Sri Lankan lifestyle, discovering traditional terraced paddy cultivation. Optional cooking demo and local lunch at a villager's home.

Day 7

Bit Of Culture At Central Highlands

Kandy, the last royal capital of the island, still retains an aristocratic atmosphere. Kandy was the last capital of the Sinhalese kings and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site partly due to the famous Temple of the Tooth In this community of tea pluckers in picturesque Kandapola village, nature, traditions and heritage are intertwined and thriving. Immerse yourself in Hindu Tamil culture through stories, attire, music and of course, tea and food. Nuwara Eliya is the highest town of Sri Lanka and you feel the cold breeze in the evening and night hours. Also known as little England, this town is famous for its colonial grandeur. This town still possesses a lot of colonial atmosphere through its unique British architecture seen throughout the city. Horse-riding and golf are some favorite activities here that were inherited from the British. The views over the mountain peaks and valleys are stunning! Explore the lovely town center and Victoria Park by foot. Enjoy the city tour around this charming town, its beautiful gardens, and enjoy a boat ride in the picturesque Lake Gregory.

Day 8

Pekoe Trail - Stage 11

This trail begins at the Farr Inn, once the old hunting lodge for high-ranking British colonial officials, which has now been turned into the visitor center for Horton Plains National park. Today you will trek from the highest point of the entire Pekoe Trail (2,170 meters) along the road to Ohiya towards the iconic “Devil’s Staircase”, which is the steepest downward descent of The Pekoe Trail. The trail cuts across villages and mountains over to the Udaweriya Valley where the views are truly breathtaking; on a clear day you can see Udawalawe National Park and beyond to the coastline. Difficulty - moderate Duration - 4 hours

Day 9

Pekoe Trail - Stage 12

This stage begins in the remote Udaweriya Valley that looks over the south of Sri Lanka with some of the best views in the tea country. On a clear day you may just make out the ocean in the South of the island. Walk past a derelict tea factory and along tea trails home to resident goats and friendly villagers through a valley seemingly lost in time. You will come across abandoned villages that saddle the lowlands to your right and the Uva bowl to your left whilst you hike along tea trails used by local villagers to travel from Udaweriya down towards Haputale and Ella. Difficulty - Difficult Duration - 6 hours

Day 10

From a Busy City to Calm surroundings

Meet your trekking guide and make your way to the first stop. The summit of Little Adam's Peak has great panoramic views, especially in the morning. After spending some time at the top, hike back down. The entire climb takes about two hours. Afterwards, hike for about 40 minutes through woods to reach the Nine Arches Bridge. Walk along the railroad over the bridge, as your hiking guide explains the history and stories of Nine Arches. Continue the hike for another 40 minutes along the railroad till you reach the interesting Demodara Railway Station. From the railway station take the transport back to Ella. Enjoy a fun experience, a Mega Zip Line Activity in Ella (Flying Ravana). This is the longest dual zip line in Sri Lanka, located near the little Adams peak, crossing over 500 meters and reaching up to 80 km speed. Get on board and fly over lush greenery mountains overlooking the Ella Gap Embark on a canoe ride on Samanalawewa reservoir. Day 11

A day At Belihuloya

You spend half a day hiking in Belihul Oya, with a specialist guide. You'll walk through rice fields, past beautiful vegetable gardens and through jungle. It's also an opportunity to discover local life and the verdant beauty of this region. You can also visit the beautiful Bambarakanda waterfalls, the highest in the country.

Day 12

Enjoy The Elephant Sightings At Udawalawa

Go on a jeep safari through the National Park of Udawalawe, created in 1972. This grassy park, which is worth seeing for its elephant population and abundance of birds, also boasts crocodiles, bears, sambars, monitor lizards, and even leopards. It takes a good eye and a bit of luck to spot the leopards! A naturalist guide will accompany you to help you locate the animals in the park with his sharp and expert eyes. Hop aboard a traditional oruwa (canoe) and glide across the serene waters as you learn timehonoured fishing techniques passed down through generations. Feel the thrill of the catch and join the locals in preparing your fresh harvest using simple, villagestyle cooking methods. It's more than just fishing—it's a journey into the heart of rural Sri Lanka, where every moment is steeped in tradition, community spirit, and connection to nature. A truly unforgettable experience for the conscious and curious traveler.

Day 13

To Galle - A UNSCO World Heritage Site

Meet with your cycling guide and go for a ride through the Sri Lankan countryside through rice paddies, villages and vegetable gardens. Enjoy a refreshing drink of freshly picked King Coconut. It is a gentle loop starting and finishing at our base near Wijaya Beach. It passes through Eluvila Bird Sanctuary and out into the paddy fields sticking to local paths and quiet roads, for about 12km. Experience the Authentic Flavors of Sri Lanka! Join our hands-on cooking class and discover the tropical Sri Lankan cuisine! Learn to prepare six authentic dishes, including five vegetarian curries and one seafood dish, using fresh local ingredients. come and discover the latest edition of Sri Lankan cuisine. The class is followed by lunch. Enjoy a leisurely stroll along the small winding streets of the Fort, lined with many boutiques, restaurants and buildings dating back to the colonial era. The fort, built in the 17th century by the Dutch, is a peaceful and welcoming village. It is totally disconnected from the rest of the city. The Fort is known for its impressive architecture and has a long history dating from the Portuguese, Dutch and English colonial periods, and is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site. You will appreciate the ramparts, but also the lighthouse as well as the numerous churches and shops.

Day 14

Depature Day

Today is your last day in our beautiful island paradise. We hope you have wonderful memories of your stay with us in Sri Lanka. Transfer to the Bandaranaike International Airport on time for the departure flight.
