At Ruaha, you're likely to encounter four of the Big Five – large prides of lions and even larger herds of elephants and buffaloes. Spotting leopards is also possible. Giraffes, hippos, and zebras are commonly sighted, and over 450 bird species have been recorded. With far fewer visitors than other Tanzanian parks, Ruaha offers a profound sense of wilderness.
