Day 1

Arrival, JRO - Mount Meru

Arrive at the Kilimanjaro International Airport where you’ll be met after passing through customs and driven to the Rivertrees Country Inn set in the serene foothills of Mt. Meru. We highly recommend extending your stay by one extra night to help recover from jet lag and take advantage of some of the fun activities in the area such as canoeing on Lake Duluti or an easy mountain bike ride through the lush mountain scenery.

Day 2

SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK (DAY 2,3,4)

Enjoy a beautiful scenic flight this morning, soaring over the Ngorongoro crater and rift valley escarpment on an expeditious route to the heart of the Serengeti National park. Break out your binoculars and begin your first game drive as you make your way to Roving Bushtops. Roving Bushtops is a luxury migratory camp that moves along Serengeti's top two spots in a year - enabling the camp to be set up in the most suitable part of the Serengeti plains best suited to changing conditions, migration patterns, and the best game viewing opportunities. Emulating the pioneering spirit of early explorers roving after the herds, the camp is unfenced and semi-permanent, with wheels allowing it to move if wildlife patterns should change. From December to April, the camp moves south to follow the herds and spend three months in a wonderful spot next to a seasonal river, to offer the best chance of experiencing the migration and the wildebeest birthing season.

Day 3

RUAHA NATIONAL PARK (DAY 5,6,7)

Fly by light aircraft to the remote wilderness of Ruaha National Park for the next 3 nights at Kwihala Camp. Kwihala Camp is set deep in the bush of Ruaha National Park - the largest national park in Tanzania, with plentiful wildlife, yet it feels remote and peaceful, with fewer visitors than other parks. The classic, expedition-style six-tent camp offers an intimate, exclusive safari experience in this vast land of towering baobabs and dense forests. Look out for huge herds of buffalo, beautiful sable antelope, wild hunting dogs, and many elephants. In addition lion, leopard and cheetah are regularly sighted on game drives. Enjoy game viewing in open 4x4 vehicles or on optional escorted walks.

Day 4

PEMBA -ISLAND (DAY 8,9,10)

THE MANTA RESORT
Pemba Island

Fly over the coast of Tanzania to the quiet Indian Ocean island of Pemba. Kick-off your shoes and relax in a hammock watching the wind blow over the water and the dhow fishing boats sail by. The next few days are yours to do as little or as much as you like. Snorkeling, diving (at additional cost), and fishing sailing on a dhow are all options for leisure. Retire at night to your private seafront villa and drift off to the sound of waves lapping the shore. One of your nights you’ll have the option of sleeping out in the Underwater Room – a private room anchored offshore. Sunbathing by day, wondering at the Milky Way after dark, and falling asleep with 360-degree underwater views of the Indian Ocean are what make this the most exclusive room in all of Africa! There is no finer way to finish your African adventure!
