    Day 1

    Arrival in Uganda and transfer to your Hotel

    Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport you will be picked by your assigned Safari guide who will transfer you to the hotel of your booking and brief you on the safari plan.     Day 2

    Transfer to Kibale National Park

    You will depart Kampala after breakfast and head westwards to Fort Portal town. The drive will take about 4 -5 hours. You will have lunch in Fort Portal and continue to Kibale. You will have an opportunity to do community walk around Kibale forest national park. Dinner and overnight will be at your reserved lodge.     Day 3

    Chimp tracking and nature walk in Kibale Forest

    After breakfast you will report at the Kanyanchu Tourist Centre (Park Headquarters) at 08.00 am for a briefing on the rules for tracking the chimpanzees. Kibale Forest National Park has the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa. The most famous of its 13 species is the Chimpanzee known to be a delightful ape. The trek takes 2-3 hours and it will provide you with the opportunity to also see a variety of other primates & animals as well as birds. You will return to your booked lodge for lunch and a short rest after which you will go for a guided nature walk in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. The sanctuary offers great birding opportunities and nature walks. Bigodi is also a rich cultural heritage site where you can mix with the local people to learn about their traditional activities and lifestyles.     Day 4

    Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park and visit Crater Lakes

    After breakfast you will leave for Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive will reward you with great views of the Rwenzori Mountain Range as well as game viewing. You will have lunch at your Lodge, located on the peak of the Mweya peninsula. On your way, you visit the stunning Crater Lakes region.     Day 5

    Game Drive and Boat Cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park

    After your morning breakfast, you will have an early morning Safari Game drive where you will see the lion, leopard, giant forest hog, Cape buffalo, elephant, defassa waterbuck, Uganda Kob, topi and bushbuck among others. You will return to your lodge for lunch and in the afternoon go for a 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. It is a 42kms channel that joins Lake Edward and Lake George. This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of hippos and offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. The prolific bird life is colorful, with well over 550 resident species. Dinner and overnight will be spent at your reserved lodge.     Day 6

    Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Ishasha sector

    You will after breakfast transfer to Bwindi via the Ishasha sector. You will have a game drive along the way during which you will see tree climbing Lions, various Antelope species, Elephants, Hyenas, Leopards and Buffaloes. After, then you will transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest. Dinner and overnight will be at your lodge of booking.     Day 7

    Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable and Batwa Experience

    Today enjoy surely. After breakfast, proceed for the morning briefing before enjoying the highlight of the trip- Gorilla trekking, which may last the entire day. We trek through the rainforest and bamboo covered slopes, accompanied by a guide and trackers, in search of a mountain gorilla family. The walking can sometimes be tough and long, but when you catch a glimpse of the magnificent silverback, any discomforts will be quickly forgotten. When sighted, visitors will be guided to within 6 metres from the gorillas, sit around them for a whole hour while gazing into their big round eyes. Gorilla trekking is unpredictable. It’s difficult to foresee how many hours you will hike. The gorilla excursion can take from 2 up to 8 hours. Expect to walk along distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorillas. A good physical condition is recommended. For conservation purposes, time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour. A ranger will brief you on how to behave with the gorillas. Later in the afternoon, you will go for a guided community walk to experience the livelihoods of the local communities. you will take visit a traditional herbalist to see how he prepares native medicine to treat a wide array of human ailments, see a black smith manufacturing local tools used in everyday life and see how local beer is brewed using local methods. You will also be entertained by the traditional dances offered by the community. Dinner and overnight will be at your lodge of booking.     Day 8

    Transfer to Volcanoes National Park and Community Walk

    In the morning, you will transfer to Volcanoes National Park. This safari road drive will be through a beautiful part of the country often referred to as ‘the Switzerland of Africa’ because of its unique Mediterranean weather. You will see a great country-side, bamboo forests and have great views of the scenic Virunga Mountains. You will cross the national border at Gatuna and drive to Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda and check in at the lodge of your booking. Later in the evening, you will go for a community walk in around local communities to explore their traditional ways of living.     Day 9

    Golden Monkey trekking and hike to Karisoke Research Centre

    You will have breakfast and then assemble at the Park headquarters for a briefing on the Golden monkey tracking rules before going out to track them in the forest. The trekking will take 1-2 hours after which you will return to the lodge for lunch and some rest. In the afternoon you will hike to Karisoke Research Centre that features an exhibit on Mountain Gorillas and the conservation efforts pioneered by Dian Fossey. It also shelters the Dian Fossey artefacts, a 3D interactive model of the Virunga Mountains and casts of real gorilla nose prints. Overall, the centre adds a perfect learning opportunity to the facts that people barely know about Mountain GorillasDinner and overnight will be at the hotel of your booking.     Transfer to Lake Kivu

    Day 11

    Optional activities on around Lake Kivu

    You will have your breakfast and head for Lake Kivu. Lake Kivu is the perfect place to chill out after the tiring Gorilla and Golden monkey trekking and hiking of the volcanoes. For most people, it is simply a place to relax and rebuild energy. You can take a nature walk, go birding on a boat ride, explore some islands, visit the nearby hot springs, go fishing, or visit the Congo boarder. You can also visit the Ndaba Falls or take a walk around Kibuye town to acquaint yourself with the lifestyles of the inhabitants.     Day 12

    Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park

    You will have breakfast and be driven to Nyungwe Forest National Park, check in at the lodge of your booking near the National Park. Later in the evening, you will take a tour to the adjacent tea factory to see how the locally grown tea is processed to become one of the finest products Rwanda has for export.     Day 13

    Chimpanzee trekking & Canopy walk

    You will have an early breakfast and report to the Park headquarters for a briefing on Chimpanzee tracking rules. You will then start the trek in the forest with the guides to find the chimpanzees. The trekking is for 2 hours after which you will go for the famous Nyungwe Forest Canopy walk. The canopy walkway is suspended 50 meters in the air between big trees and stretches over a steep and deep valley across a massive forest cover offering breathtaking views across the misty forest. You will have sightings at eye-level of a number of unique wildlife inhabiting the canopies including birds, butterflies, and several monkey species. For those who lack the guts for the canopy walk you can choose to go for a nature walk around the forest. You will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.     Transfer to Kigali and Departure

    You will have breakfast and set off for Kigali for departure flight.
