Day 1

Arrival in Kathmandu (1400m) :

 Upon your arrival at the Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu, a representative from Nepal Trek Ways will receive and transfer you to your hotel. After you are greeted with welcome drinks at the hotel, we will have a quick pre-trip meeting to discuss on the necessary formalities and trekking itinerary. You can then check in to your room, freshen up and rest. Or if you are not one of those “lay back” types, you can take a stroll around the vicinity of your hotel and get the feel of this hyperactive capital city of Nepal. On the streets, people seem to be on sheer rush, barely noticing one another, but if you utter “Namaste”, they will definitely reciprocate with a smile! Well, that’s Nepal’s Nepalese for you. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu; breakfast included.



Day 2

Kathmandu city sightseeing (1400m)Swayambhunath, one of the most revered Buddhist pilgrimage sites in Kathmandu, Nepal. :

Short stroll in the evening yesterday might not have acquainted you to Kathmandu. So we want to make sure that you know this city like you know yourself. Once done with your breakfast, let’s hop in to our reserved vehicle and then head on for a comfy ride with one of our experienced city guides. You will be visiting the most renowned historical/cultural landmarks in Kathmandu. Our guide will take you to the Pasupatinath Temple (the most revered Hindu shrine), Swayambunath (the Monkey Temple) and Kathmandu (Basantapur) Durbar Square. All these sites are enlisted in the UNESCO world’s heritage list. After this informative and interesting tour, we drive back through the busy and noisy streets of Kathmandu to the serene premises of your hotel. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu; breakfast included.






Day 3

Flight from Kathmandu to Lhasa, Elevation: 3600 meters :

Today, we leave for Lhasa Tibet. When you arrive in Lhasa, you will be greeted by our guide and will escort you to your hotel. It is highly recommended to take a good rest and try to avoid heavy works. Later you can wander around the Barkhor street. it is an Ancient Tibetan market surrounding the Jokhang temple and it is a popular destination both tourist and pilgrims.

Day 4

Lhasa guided tour. :

In the morning, you will visit the Jokhang, it is the holiest Buddhist temple in Himalaya’s. Built nearly 1400 years ago. The temple house the most sacred statue of Buddha. You will walk shoulder to shoulder with Buddhist pilgrims from every corner of Tibet. with Yak butter lamp in their hand and recites the mantra. In the afternoon, you will visit the 600 years old Sera Monastery, One of the largest monastery in Tibet. Each weekday afternoon starting at 3pm, monks engage in Buddhist philosophy debates, which are fun to photograph.



Day 5

Lhasa guided tour :

In the morning, you will visit the Potala palace, Tibet’s most iconic building. Raising over Lhasa, the palace served as the winter residence to Dalai lamas for 100s of years. the visit to Potala palace requires travelers to walk up to the top. In the afternoon after lunch, you will go to Drepung, another of Tibet’s huge monastic complexes. The pilgrimage circuit around Drepung takes about an hour or so and offers spectacular views.



Day 6

Drive from Lhasa—Yamdrok Lake—Lhasa Distance: 230kms :

This is marks the end of the tour for those who are sign in for four days Lhasa tour, and those who are assign for this five day tour, You will take a day trip from Lhasa to Yamdrok Lake. This is one of Tibet’s most beautiful lakes and a must-see attraction. You will follow the Kyi Chu River valley southwest from Lhasa to the top of the Kamba La Pass at an elevation of 4794 meters (15,725 feet). The top of the pass offers a panoramic of Yamdrok Lake. Mt. Nojin Kangtsang, rising to 7191 meters (23,590 feet) can be seen in the background. You will return to Lhasa in the late afternoon..



Day 7

Depart Lhasa :

 In the morning, you will be transferred to the Lhasa airport  and depart Tibet.

Day 8

Cultural Sightseeing in Bhaktapur City:

The tour takes you to the brick-paved narrow alleys and open squares of these ancient cities discovering Hindu and Buddhist shrines. Be mesmerized by the ancient Newari history, architectures, culture and taste authentic Newari food.


 We take you to Bhaktaur Durbar square, Taumadhi square, Dattatraya square, pottery square and to the oldest Hindu temple Changu Narrayan in the outskirt of this city. Optionally, spend evening in Bhaktapur. Bhaktapur means the city of Devotees. So, early in the morning the Newari women visit nearby hindu shrine with offerings on a palte while after the Sun goes down, you can spot group of ethnic Newari People singing religious hymn with traditional Newari Instrument exactly like their ancestors started over 500 hundred years ago.

Then visit one of the local family kitchen to learn cooking Newari Dishes. Take home the secret of magical aroma of the Newari food . 

Overnight in Bhaktapur or optionally we can drive an hour to Nagarkot Hill station, a very popular tourst hub for sunrise and sunset.

Day 9

Departure Kathmandu :

This is your last day of the 9 day Nepal Tibet combination tour. We have arranged a private car to drive to Kathmandu international airport.
